How To Make Lacquered Duck with Grilled Figs

Ingredients
- 4 duck breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 8 fresh figs, halved
Instructions

Preheat the grill to medium heat.

In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

Score the skin of the duck breasts in a criss-cross pattern and brush with the sauce mixture.

Place the duck breasts on the grill, skin side down, and cook for 6-8 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes.

While the duck is cooking, place the fig halves on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are soft and slightly caramelized.

Remove the duck breasts and figs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Slice the duck breasts and serve with the grilled figs.
