How To Make Whole Grain Banana Nut Bread Recipe
A hearty and healthy bread made with whole grains, ripe bananas, and crunchy nuts.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flours, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the applesauce, yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract.

Add the mashed bananas to the wet mixture and stir until combined.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until almost combined.

Add the chopped walnuts and stir until just combined.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and slicing.
