- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

Increase heat to high and let boil without stirring until the mixture turns a deep amber color, 6-8 minutes.

Remove from heat and add butter, cream, vanilla extract, and salt, stirring until smooth.

Let cool to room temperature before using.
