Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large saucepan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the saucepan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Allow the sauce to cool completely before dividing it into desired portions for freezing.

Place the sauce in airtight containers or freezer bags and label with the date.
