  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the flour and stir well to combine. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.

  3. Slowly whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps.

  4. Stir in the garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

  5. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and comes to a simmer.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheese, a handful at a time, stirring until melted and smooth.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Remove from heat and let the cheese sauce cool for a few minutes before serving with nachos or your favorite snacks.
