How To Make Green Tomato Chutney

Ingredients
- 4 green tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

Add onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn translucent.

Add green tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

Add sugar and vinegar. Cook on low heat until the chutney thickens.

Remove from heat and let it cool. Blend into a smooth paste if desired.

Serve the chutney with snacks or as a condiment.
