How To Make Green Tomato & Apple Chutney

Ingredients
- 4 green tomatoes, chopped
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, combine the green tomatoes, apples, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, mustard seeds, red pepper flakes, turmeric, and salt.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 60 minutes, or until the chutney thickens.

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool completely before transferring to sterilized jars.

Store in the refrigerator for up to a month.
