Ingredients
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions

Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Press the cancel button to turn off sauté mode.

Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the pot.

Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to sealing position.

Select manual/pressure cook mode and set the timer for 10 minutes on high pressure.

Once the cooking is done, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.

Carefully remove the lid and stir the marinara sauce.

Serve the marinara sauce over cooked pasta or use it as a pizza sauce.
