How To Make Garlic Butter String Beans
Tender yet crisp at the same time, this string beans recipe yields a simply flavored meal. It’s a healthy side dish that doesn’t take much to prep.

Ingredients
- 12ozfresh string beans,(2 bags), or green beans, ends trimmed
- 3tbspbutter
- 4garlic cloves,minced
- salt and pepper,to taste
Instructions

Boil a salted pot of water for the beans and also prepare a large bowl of cold water with ice cubes. Trim the ends of the beans.

Once the water is boiling, add the string beans and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain them and add them to the bowl of ice water so they stop cooking.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter is sizzling, stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.

Drain the beans and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, tossing/stirring often, or until the beans are as tender as you like.

Season beans with salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately.
