How To Make Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter/oil.

  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  5. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch baking pan or cast iron skillet.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. Serve warm with honey or butter.
