- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 egg
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until thoroughly combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, honey, and egg until well mixed.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Form the dough into 8-10 individual biscuits and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
