How To Make Thanksgiving Broccoli Casserole Recipe
A creamy and cheesy broccoli casserole, a perfect Thanksgiving side dish!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cook broccoli in boiling salted water for 5-7 minutes or until tender.

In a separate skillet, sauté onion and garlic with butter until soft.

Add flour and stir for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until thickened.

Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.

Drain broccoli and add to cheese mixture. Mix well.

Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
