How To Make Halloween Spider Cookies
Scary and delicious Halloween cookies with chocolate spider legs and candy eyes.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- 48 long black licorice laces
- 32 candy eyes
Instructions

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until well combined.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and chill for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes until slightly firm to the touch.

Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler.

Dip each cookie into melted chocolate until fully coated.

Place licorice legs on the top of the cookie to look like a spider.

Place two candy eyes on the top of each cookie to finish.
