Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or other decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

  3. Gradually add in the sugar while continuing to beat the egg whites.

  4. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and beat until well combined.

  5. Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in egg-shaped blobs.

  6. Decorate with sprinkles or other decorations, if desired.

  7. Bake for 2 hours or until the egg meringues are dry and crisp.

  8. Let cool completely before serving.
