How To Make Santa Sugar Cookies
It’s always the season for merry making and nothing gets merrier than a full stomach. These Christmas recipes will do the trick for happy smiles and bellies. Nobody goes on diet and no tummy goes hungry during Christmas!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red gel food coloring
- Mini chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Divide dough in half. Add red gel food coloring to one half, and mix until desired color is achieved.

Roll out each dough portion separately to ¼-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.

Use a Santa Claus cookie cutter to cut out shapes from both dough portions and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Press mini chocolate chips on each Santa Claus face for eyes.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar to resemble Santa’s beard.
