How To Make Homemade Smoked Sausage Recipe

This smoked sausage recipe is a perfect blend of spice and savory-meatiness that is sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of ground pork shoulder
  • 2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 tsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup of cold water
  • 1 tbsp of liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Mix together ground pork shoulder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, brown sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, cold water, and liquid smoke in a large mixing bowl until well combined.

  2. Knead the sausage mixture thoroughly for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the mixture to rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  4. Form the mixture into sausage links of desired size.

  5. Arrange the sausage links onto a smoker rack and smoke them at 225°F for 4-6 hours.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
