Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp black peppercorns, crushed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Season the salmon fillets with salt and press the crushed peppercorns onto the flesh side.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets, skin side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy. Transfer the fillets to the prepared baking sheet, pepper side up, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the drained chickpeas, lemon juice, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chickpeas are heated through.

Serve the pepper-crusted salmon on a plate with a generous portion of garlic chickpeas.
