- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, bacon, cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry with paper towels.

Poke each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
