- 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cooking oil, for frying
Instructions

Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess moisture.

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, chopped onion, flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom of the skillet.

Take a handful of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty. Place it in the hot skillet and flatten it with a spatula.

Cook the hash browns for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are crispy and golden brown.

Remove the cooked hash browns from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Repeat steps 4-6 with the remaining potato mixture.
