Serves:
Ingredients
- 8 sausages
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
-
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
-
Slowly pour in the beef or vegetable broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened.
-
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the sausages to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, until heated through.
-
Serve the sausages with the onion gravy poured over the top. Enjoy!
