How To Make Sausage & Mash Pie

Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausages
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant.

Add the broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, slice the cooked sausages into bite-sized pieces.

In a greased baking dish, spread a layer of mashed potatoes. Top with half of the sausage slices and half of the onion mixture. Repeat with another layer of mashed potatoes, sausages, and onions.

Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
