How To Make Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

This deliciously tender pulled pork is slow-cooked to perfection, and has a flavor that’s out of this world!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder.

  2. Place sliced onions and minced garlic into a slow cooker.

  3. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and water. Pour the mixture over the pork.

  5. Cook on low for 8 hours.

  6. When the pork is done, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.

  7. Serve hot on buns with your favorite toppings.
