Pork is one of the most commonly cooked meats in the world and we’ve decided to put our spin into these minimal yet tasty pork recipes that will have you looking forward to every bite.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 4 hours
Total: 4 hours and 15 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 1 pound of pulled pork
  • 1 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat.

  2. In a small saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, apple cider vinegar, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat until the sauce begins to simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  3. Place the pulled pork in a large bowl and pour the sloppy joe sauce over it. Mix well to coat the pork in the sauce.

  4. Grill the hot dogs until heated through and slightly charred, about 5 minutes.

  5. Toast the hot dog buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are lightly toasted.

  6. Place a hot dog in each bun and top with a generous portion of the pulled pork sloppy joe mixture.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
