How To Make Pork with Sweet & Sour Onion Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, and cornstarch.

Pour the sauce mixture over the onions in the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Return the pork chops to the skillet. Coat them with the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Serve the pork chops with the sweet and sour onion sauce on top.
