How To Make Ploughman’s Pork & Cheese Picnic Pie
Pork is one of the most commonly cooked meats in the world and we’ve decided to put our spin into these minimal yet tasty pork recipes that will have you looking forward to every bite.

Ingredients
- 500g pork sausages
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 150g cheddar cheese, grated
- 200g cottage cheese
- 1 tbsp grainy mustard
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large frying pan, fry the pork sausages until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside to cool.

In the same pan, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until softened and translucent.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and line a greased pie dish with it.

In a bowl, mix together the cooled sausages, sautéed onion and garlic, grated cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, grainy mustard, salt, and pepper.

Pour the filling into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top.

Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place it over the filling. Trim the edges and crimp to seal.

Brush the top with beaten egg wash.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.
