Serves:

Ingredients

  • 400g runner beans
  • 200g bacon, sliced into small pieces
  • 50g hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the ends of the runner beans and cut them into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

  3. Add the bacon to the pan and cook until crispy.

  4. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.

  5. Add the runner beans to the pan and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until tender-crisp.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts over the beans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  8. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.

  9. Sprinkle the crispy bacon over the beans.

  10. Serve hot.
