Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant and translucent.

Add the frozen peas to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes (if using), and season with salt and pepper.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the peas are tender.

Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice.

Transfer the Italian peas to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
