Ingredients
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated Gruyere cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a greased baking dish, arrange a layer of butternut squash slices.

Sprinkle a pinch of minced garlic, salt, and pepper over the squash.

Repeat the layers until all the squash is used, finishing with a layer of squash on top.

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until warm.

Pour the warm cream over the layered squash.

Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese evenly over the top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the squash is tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve hot.
