How To Make Roast Turkey with Lemon & Garlic

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12 lbs)
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Rinse the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Carefully loosen the skin of the turkey and rub the garlic mixture under the skin, massaging it onto the meat.

Stuff the turkey cavity with the lemon slices.

Tie the turkey legs together with kitchen twine.

Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh.

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
