How To Make Italian Turkey Steaks with Garlicky Bean Mash

We have turkey sandwiched between lovely bread, baked as pie filling, and cooked in a casserole. Whatever way it’s served, turkey meat is a versatile dish you just can’t get enough of.

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey steaks
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cans of cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the turkey steaks with dried oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add drained cannellini beans and vegetable broth. Mash the beans with a fork or potato masher until desired consistency is reached.

  4. Cook the bean mash for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese.

  5. Serve the turkey steaks on a plate with a generous serving of garlicky bean mash.
