Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Salt to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.

Add the beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add garlic and Sichuan peppercorns. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth.

Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens.

Add the cooked beef back into the pan and stir to coat with the sauce. Cook for another minute.

Season with salt to taste.

Garnish with chopped green onions.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
