Ingredients
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups of frozen peas
- 4 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pot.

Add the diced onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Stir in the frozen peas and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the broth, milk, and heavy cream to the pot. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

Using an immersion blender or in batches in a regular blender, blend the soup until smooth.

Return the soup to the pot and season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve the soup hot, garnished with the crispy bacon and chopped parsley.
