Ingredients
- 4 large tomatoes
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon

Cut the tomatoes into quarters and remove the seeds and core. Place the tomato quarters in a blender.

Add the fresh basil leaves, granulated sugar, and lemon juice to the blender with the tomatoes.

Blend until smooth and well combined.

Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or pan, and place in the freezer.

Every 30 minutes, remove the dish from the freezer and use a fork to scrape the mixture, creating a granita texture.

Repeat this process for about 2 hours, or until the granita has a slushy consistency.
