How To Make Slow Cooker Tomato Basil Soup Recipe
Rich and flavorful tomato soup with a hint of fresh basil made in a slow cooker.

Ingredients
- 2 cans (28 oz each) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Add tomatoes (with juice), onion, garlic, and broth to a slow cooker.

Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Add chopped basil and puree soup with an immersion blender or transfer to a blender in batches.

Return soup to slow cooker and stir in heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat on high for 30 minutes before serving.
