- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.

Add onions, garlic, red and green bell peppers, and jalapeno pepper to the pot. Cook until vegetables are softened.

Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.

Bring to a simmer and let cook uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
