How To Make Fish and Leek Chowder Recipe
A creamy soup loaded with flaky fish and tender leeks, perfect for a comforting dinner.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb. of white fish fillets, cut into small pieces
- 2 leeks, sliced
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups of chicken or fish broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 2 tsp of cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and leeks and cook until leeks are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add fish and broth, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until fish is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream and cornstarch until smooth. Add mixture to the pot and stir until well combined.

Cook until the soup thickens and comes to a gentle boil, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
