How To Make Spiced Lentil Soup Recipe
A warm and comforting soup filled with bold spices and nourishing lentils.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup red lentils
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- juice of 1 lemon
- fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent.

Add cumin, coriander, paprika, and cayenne and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add lentils and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 30-40 minutes until lentils are tender.

Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth.

Serve hot and garnish with fresh cilantro.
