Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove any excess grease.

Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.

Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour, stirring occasionally.
