How To Make Vegetarian Slow Cooker Teriyaki Tofu Recipe
A mouth-watering, vegetarian dish with succulent tofu cubes and a tangy teriyaki sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 14 oz. extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, peeled and minced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions

In a slow cooker, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic and ginger.

Add in tofu and toss to coat.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water to create a slurry.

Add slurry to slow cooker and stir to combine.

Cook for another 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.

Serve over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
