- 2 cans of black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 cups of vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp of chili powder
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 tsp of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: avocado, cilantro, lime wedges, tortilla chips

In a slow cooker, add the black beans, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, vegetable broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
