How To Make Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork roast
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the pork roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried thyme, and paprika.

  2. In a slow cooker, combine the chicken broth, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well.

  3. Place the seasoned pork roast into the slow cooker and spoon the sauce over it.

  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 6 hours.

  5. After 6 hours, remove the pork roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.

  6. Meanwhile, pour the remaining sauce from the slow cooker into a saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until thickened.

  7. Slice the pork roast and serve with the thickened sauce.
