Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets, deboned and minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- mango dipping sauce:
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the minced fish, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, red chili, fish sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Shape the mixture into small patties using your hands.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Dredge each fish cake in flour and fry in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

In a small bowl, mix together the diced mango, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, red chili flakes, and cilantro to make the mango dipping sauce.

Serve the spicy fish cakes with the mango dipping sauce on the side.
