How To Make Shrimp Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.

  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Add the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

  5. Add the cooked macaroni and shrimp to the cheese sauce. Stir until everything is coated and heated through.

  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
