How To Make Sea Bass Curry

Ingredients

  • 4 sea bass fillets
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, grated
  • 1 can (400ml) coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the curry powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Set aside.

  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook until fragrant and the onion is softened.

  3. Add the spice mixture to the pan and cook for a minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

  4. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  5. Season the sea bass fillets with salt and gently place them into the pan, spooning some of the curry sauce over the fillets.

  6. Cover the pan and let the fish cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  7. Serve the sea bass curry hot, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves. Enjoy with steamed rice or naan bread.
