How To Make Sardines & Watercress on Toast

Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 cans of sardines in olive oil
- 1 cup of watercress leaves
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven until crispy, about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, drain the oil from the sardines and place them in a bowl. Break the sardines into smaller pieces.

In a separate bowl, toss the watercress leaves with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Spread the sardines evenly on the toasted bread slices.

Top each slice with a handful of watercress leaves.

Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with a slice of lemon.

Serve immediately.
