Ingredients
- 4 fillets of white fish (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 large potatoes, cut into thin strips
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
-
In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
-
Dip each fish fillet into the flour mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
-
Dip the flour-coated fillets into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
-
Coat the fillets in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
-
In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
-
Meanwhile, spread the potato strips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
-
Serve the crunchy fish goujons with the skinny chips. Enjoy!
