Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, hot sauce
Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.

Sprinkle the chili powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and pepper over the beef mixture. Stir well to combine.

Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked.

Place a slice of American cheese on top of the beef mixture in the skillet. Allow it to melt.

While the cheese is melting, toast the sub rolls in a toaster or under the broiler until lightly browned.
