Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  2. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread.

  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

  4. Place the bread slices, butter side down, in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.

  5. Flip the bread slices and crack an egg into the hole of each slice.

  6. Season the eggs with salt and pepper.

  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the eggs are cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  8. Serve the egg-in-the-hole bacon sandwich with the cooked bacon slices on top.
