Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 large papaya, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
- for the tamarind soy dressing:
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions

Season the beef with salt and pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the beef slices for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced beef, papaya, bell pepper, cucumber, cilantro, and peanuts.

In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the tamarind soy dressing.

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.

Serve the seared beef and papaya salad immediately.
