A hearty and flavorful pasta dish with a tangy tomato basil sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Rotini pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions

Cook pasta according to package instructions.

While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil over medium heat in a large saucepan.

Saute onion and garlic until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add crushed tomatoes, salt, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes and stir to combine.

Bring sauce to a simmer and let cook for 10-15 minutes.

Add fresh basil to the sauce and stir to combine.

Drain pasta and add it to the sauce, stirring to coat.
